The odd mix of pieces I've been using as a swimsuit since I was pregnant with Kezie just isn't working out any more. Our annual week at Snowbird is coming up soon, and I want to be able to take the kids swimming, so this afternoon, I ventured into the hell that is swimsuit shopping.

I took Kezie with me. Every time I tried something on, she said, "You look cute in that!"

I was thinking that I was going to have to bring my little cheerleader with me every time I go shopping for the moral support, until I put my regular clothes back on. She looked at me and said, "Mommy, you don't look cute in your regular clothes."

Maybe not.

Shawn has mono.

We cheered when we got the phone call.

At least we know what's wrong now.

Guide to speaking preschooler, part 2

Kezie has added some new words to her vocabulary. She will be talking seriously and in complete sentences, and then one of these words slips out. It's all I can do not to burst out laughing sometimes.

Chip-unk: chipmunk.
I saw a chipunk in a tree

Chakup: ketchup
Do you want chakup on your tater tots? Chakup is good.

Kitchen: chicken
I like kitchen nuggets
usage appears when child is tired

Nunkin: napkin
This is messy. I need a nunkin.

Placsic: plastic
This is a placsic bag

Backset: basket
I have a Easter bakset

Nuffin: muffin
Chocolate nuffins are my favorite.

Ivy and Kezie are dancing in the living room. They fell down, and Ivy was laughing so hard she couldn't get back up. I'm so glad my girls are such good friends...most of the time.

Songbird

Kezie is wandering the house singing "Defying Gravity"

She's the only one who hasn't caught a nasty stomach bug that the rest of us are dealing with, and I think she's getting bored.

Ivy update:
20 1/3 pounds, which puts her in the tenth percentile

29 1/4 inches, in the 45 percentile for height

She says: Mom, Daddy, Kezie, Boo, thank you, cracker, milk, uh-oh

And she now WALKS!

Kezie loves having video taken. She wanted to show off her dancing and how well she can spell her name.
